What to expect at your cleaning

Our 12-Step Process

Step 1: Pre-inspection

We will inspect your carpet visually during a walk through with you and identify any possible irreversible staining or other potential issues we find.  We will listen to any concerns that you have and give you an evaluation of the expected results.

Step 2: Mandatory Commercial Pre-vacuum

A powerful commercial vacuum is used for thorough removal of the dry soil.

Step 3: Move items

Under our regular pricing schedule, we may move small objects to clear the way for our cleaning equipment to prevent accidental damage.

Step 4: Pre-spray

For a thorough cleaning, our preconditioning spray is applied. This is to emulsify and break down the soiling in your carpet.

Step 5: Pre-spot Treatment

To increase chances of removal, difficult spots are pre-treated with special solutions depending on the type of stain.

Step 6: Pre-groom/ Agitate

To loosen the soil in the carpet even further, a professional carpet grooming machine is used to agitate the carpet.

Step 7: Extract & Rinse

The carpet is then rinsed thoroughly with a powerful truck-mounted hot water extraction system to remove any remaining residue without over-wetting your carpet.

Step 8: Neutralizing Treatment

The pH is then balanced to ensure that there will be no residue left behind and that your carpet is fresh and soft.

Step 9: Post Spotting Treatment

Technicians use special spotting solutions to address any spots left behind. To give your carpet a longer life, don’t forget to apply professional carpet protector to your carpet!

Step 10: Post- Grooming

A professional grooming tool is then used to set the carpet pile straight up when we leave.  This step aids the carpet in drying faster and in an upright position.

Step 11: Speed Dry

High velocity air movers are then set on the carpet to promote a more efficient dry time.

Step 12: Post Cleaning Inspection

A walk through will be done to inspect the cleaning results and make sure that you are 100% satisfied.

How to Prepare for your Cleaning

For you to prepare, here are some suggestions that will help us both:

  • In the areas that we will be cleaning, please remove any items covering the space you would like cleaned (they must remain off the carpet until it is dry).

  • Remove any breakable items from the area to prevent accidental damages.

  • Any full-length draperies should be pinned up to a minimum of 6” off the floor.

  • If your upholstered furniture has any skirts that touch the carpet, please pin them up.

  • We do not move furniture.  We can clean right around the base or clean underneath those items if sufficient room is available.

  • As we walk through your home during our pre-inspection, please advise technicians of any special instructions pertaining to your unique carpet conditions and needs.

  • Please point out any spots or stains you are concerned about. We will apply special treatments to these areas upon your approval and agreement.

  • To keep everyone safe, we ask you to please keep your children and pets out and away from the areas we are cleaning until the carpeted areas are completely dry.

  • A special note about odors: We do everything we can to reduce or remove odors although 100% success is not guaranteed because we do not know how deep the contamination is. A higher level of odor may be noticeable for many days after the cleaning because there are higher levels of humidity after cleaning for a short period of time.

After Care Information
  • Please leave furniture off the carpet after your cleaning for at least 8 hours to prevent staining.

  • Please don’t allow your pets or small children to lie down or crawl on the carpet until it is completely dry as a safety pre-caution.

  • Be extremely cautious when you are walking from your damp carpet onto any hard surface area as it will be extremely slippery.

  • If you are dissatisfied for any reason contact us within 48 hours of your completed cleaning and we will re-clean at no additional cost to you as soon as we are able to do so.

  • Beyond 48 hours of your completed cleaning you will be responsible for additional cleaning costs.
